Well I assume it is OFFICIAL by now, they should have had thier meeting to vote on the resolutions of the votes from the election!

I bet ol Garry, Don, and Sue would have rather ate crow than to have to put thier "Aye" in on the ones for the recall of the mayor failing, and for the other one calling Trevino the winner of Place 3!

Wonder how the one for Powell and Miller ended up?

I wonder WHY they don't have on the agenda to approve the mintues from the last meeting?

4. Consider and take action on removing the cul-de-sacs on Pemberton Court and Sussex Court and to add $30,000 to the FY 2006-07 budget to cover these costs

5. Consider appointments to Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors

Now that Sue and Pete are no longer front page news, you all have decided that you can fix this issue with the Fire Department. The mayor may not have shown the respect some of you think he should have,I do not know I was not at that meeting. But you can bet all residents will be watching how the council handles business toward all Departments, especially the Fire Department. Anyone who doesn't know what a Firefighter's day can be like should go spend a day with one. So lets give all of this "I know someone who knows someone who told someone something" a rest. I can't tell if you are all a bunch of kids arguing or a bunch of feeble old folks talking in circles.

WHITE AND OUZTS AND OTHERS LIKE THEM TEND TO IGNORE SOME FOLKS AND THEIR 'BREAKING THE LAW' AND GO OVERBOARD ON OTHERS REGARDLESS OF THE MOTIVES OR REASONS FOR THEIR ACTIONS. IT'S 'BY THE BOOK' WITH THEM UNLESS IT IS THEM OR THEIR PALS.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE RESIDENTS HERE ARE SO SILLY AND STUPID THAT THEY DIDN'T GO VOTE. TELL ME THERE IS ANOTHER REASON?

Ouzts and his faithful council used to meet illegally together all the time. They would also make decisions on agenda items prior to the meeting. That is why there was not much discussion.

Yes Wunderboy. I remember when Mr. 'by the book' White looked the other way on illegal meetings by Cowey and his illegal approaches toward residents. I remember when Mr. 'by the book' White misrepresented his position on the crime board to internet servers(yahoo), in order to gain clout to get the sites removed. He inferred that he was involved in law enforcement. This is a big no no to misrepresent oneself like that. But Mr. White did it? Is that right?

Sometimes you need to think outside of the box. You continue to blame the individuals you mentioned. Is that as far as you can think?

A lot of rural areas depend on volunteers when it comes to their firefighters. And they are very successful. Also when a community is given a chance they will offer donations to a VFD. They used to ask you if you wanted to donate a $1 or so for the Library. Did anyone think that could also be done for our VFD.

Yes, free water and such is a small price to pay for the service you provide to our community. But the few who took a stand as they did, even went as far as telling certain citizens "they can't stand them" leaves other citizens wondering why all the hate?

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, QUIT BLAMING THOSE THAT YOU WANT TO DISCREDIT AND LOOK AT WHAT CERTAIN VOLUNTEERS SAID AND DID TO THE CITIZENS IN THIS COMMUNITY.

IT SHOULDN'T BE A "IN YOUR FACE" YOU ARE NOT MAKING THE DEPARTMENT LOOK GOOD.

To "how stupid are you" and/or anyone else this applies to. First and foremost, I do not remember when I gave anyone one the right to declare or report what and whom I support. Secondly and more importantly, I DO support the Volunteer Fire Fighters, and their families. And I do so for very personal reasons. Most importantly because I stood side byside with some of the Fort Worth Fire Fighters searching 3 Federal Buildings for bombs months before and after the Murrah Building bombing in OK city. I was called out on several occasions after midnight and assisted the Fort Worth Fire Fighters and Police Department. Why did I do that? Because I was assigned to the property management office and had access to all the building keys. SO, the next time you decide that I don't support the WSVFF's, come to me and tell me FACE TO FACE so that I can see who the LIAR really is.

The problem with the fire dept taxes that Sue had was THE TAX DEADLINE. Rather than make the firefighters pay all of the taxes and wait on the rest of the red tape that the other half of the council offers on a lot of similar issues, she went ahead and tried to do something to get the taxes paid. To yell around about her doing something ILLEGAL when she was just trying to HELP THE FIREFIGHTERS PAY THEIR TAXES ON TIME IS RIDICULOUS.

SUE DOES HAVE A HEART FOR RESIDENTS AND IS IN TOUCH WITH A LOT OF THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY. SHE IS NOT HARDLINE LIKE OUZTS AND CO. SHE HIRES COMPETENT FOLKS NOT SHALLOW WITTED IGNORANT SNEAKY FOLKS THAT DONT HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE LIKE OUZTS AND CO. TEND TO HIRE. CASE IN POINT, DENA DANIEL, COWEY, ROSS AND OTHERS.

Mr Ouzts has always refused to spend taxpayer money for many needed upgrades for the city like roads...he either refuses it directly, or gets rid of needed supplies with a line item deletion, so that the job cannot be done, or he wants to fund a project with an extra fee paid by residents(instead of using tax money already paid by residents) and nothing to be done until that fee accumulates, or he wants to do a 'champagne fix' on a project that costs 300++++ percent and more than just a regular functional repair that would be way more than good enough and give residents some needed services.
Cases in point,drainage fee, road resurfacing(most roads willl not be resurfaced in most of our lifetimes), and the creek.

OK why cant we support who we want to and accept if our choice aint the majority choice. The scripture commands us to pray for our leaders. From our city to our nation. It is a sad thing that our community is so small minded and petty. Whether you like the mayor or not the least we all can do is act like grown-ups. Lets stop fighting on both sides and get the small town spirit back. Thanks for the chance to voice my opinion. Everyone that reads this I wish you and yours a wonderful and safe weekend.

People need to understand that the bingo fund SUPPORTS the FD. Not Maintain the Fire dept. Go look at the records. And we don't have one of the best outfitted Dept. for being Volunteer. You are sorely misimformed. I wish the city and people who have a chip on there shoulder for the FD and Police would just be quiet. I know Fireman that had holes in fire gear for more than a year that the new gear replaced. If we are having people putting thier lives on the line for the citizens of White Settlement. We need to have them outfitted with the best and have equipment and trainning top notch go look at other fire depts. LEt the fireman do thier jobs give them what they deserve for waking up at 3am in morning for medical calls, house fires, and other calls for help. They miss dinner with thier families, they delay family trips for calls, and sometime miss special moments with the family to help those in need. For What? Cause they care. All of the water bills for the firefighters does not even scrape the cost for salary, Vacation pay, sick pay, Health benifits, and workers comp. Now the City council and mayor and other city deligates need to work together to take care of the city. I wish they would stop fighting with each other. DO YOUR JOBS. cause the people you make decisions for are paying taxes to keep the city running. Streets that needed to be repaired are getting fixed. Keep those that are managing the city in thier places. Put the personal opinions aside and run the city.

We do support you and will back you for all you do. Don't count on Ouzts most favorite supporters to do that. They are the only few who have any issues at all. The majority of us citizens love our fire fighters.
