    Being hispanic, even I have to agree that there are some hispanics who don't think the laws apply to them, BUT, there are also whites, blacks, asians, and other ethnic races who think the same way, that laws don't apply to them!!

    The laws of the United States apply to EVERYONE, not any particular race!

    Which by the way, before someone spouts it off, I AM A AMERICAN, of hispanic decent, born in Fort Worth, and my parents and grandparents were born here in texas!!

    I have had a lot of bad experiences living around hispanics. I think a lot of it is because they are basically lawless or their friends or relatives are. The other day I heard on the news about the cops busting a drivers license/green card etc. group(hispanics) Then you have that hispanic lady that hung herself and her kids. Ive had nothing but bad experiences living around them. I would love to live near some nice ones for a change, if there are any.

    I have to admit that I am a little offended by the car lot on Clifford St. by the Chicken Express flying the Mexico flag. It isn't right, this is Texas and this is America and those are the flags that should be waving. I am not prejudice by any means, my nieces and nephews are half hispanic, but their dad has become an American citizen and speaks, reads and writes English fluently.

    OK, whycantwegetalong,le ts look at it from your perspective. You say that going by the book causes problems, Right? So, are you saying that the city charter and all established rules and procedures should be chucked out the with bath water? I am sure Sue wanted to help the fire fighters. That is why she gave the orders to pay the bills. But, why did she wait as long as she did? Why did she not do anything at all during the months of June - July - August - September - October - November - December - January - February ? Can you explain that?

    actually I have it on good authority that nolan and his little bald headed fire fighter neighbor are the ones doing the bashing of the fire department so they can make white thompson and the adains look bad. this comes from a "brother" in the squad. and , the team of rawlings and podsednik are stirring the young ones up, telling them lie after lie. I think most of the fire fighters are good men, but their are some bad apples there also.

    It is easy to see why White Settlement cannot move forward as so many of our "citizens" are stuck in the past. Come on folks, lets try waking up to a new day. Lets help guide our Mayor and Council,(no matter who wins the runoff)into the future and what is best for our city. I have grandkids growing up here as I am sure some others on this board does. I would hate to think that when they graduate from high school there is nothing on White Settlement Road and Cherry Lane but Car Lots and shuttered buildings. We have enough of those now.
