| Comments:| | Nolan and Marla I have never, ( even when it might be in my best interest to do so ) been very political correct. I know that I many seem to wonder off topic from time to time. You see, I believe what is happing at our City Hall is a reflection of what is happing in our society. People become upset when they have to pay so much for Medical Care and Medical Insurance, then when American Citizens’s come forward to secure our boarders and enforce the Law of the Land ( which is what our Government should have been doing for sometime now ) those same people say the Minutemen are RACIST. I was watching TV when man first landed on the moon. On my TV today I see a absence of morality, if I were to believe what I see on TV, I should not be able to through a rock without hitting a gay person. I find more and more channels being dedicated to a Spanish speaking audience, the same is true with radio. I can trace my families tree on my father side, back to a French Sargent who landed on the cost of South Carlina in the early 1700's. After the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, his decedents settled along the coast of Louisiana, where my father grow up poor, speaking Cajun, with no shoe. He said in the winter, in order to get his feet warm on the way to school, he walk through the cow pasture looking for fresh cow patties. He would then sink his feet into the dung and warm his feet. With little schooling and not much of a childhood and with his 6 brothers and 2 sisters, my fathers worked as a caddy for a golf course operated by my grandfather in Jennings. In the winter of my fathers 17 birthday, a fellow showed up in the early 1940's and asked my father if he and his brothers would be interested in going off to fight FASCISM. All but one went, because he was to young. The youngest who went was 15, he served 6 months before they realized how young he was and sent him back home. He re-enlisted at 16 with my Grandma Reed permission. My Grandmother passed away in the early 70's having never spoke English, never filing for assistance, never asked for any spacial consideration. So if it seems that I might have a problem with illegal immigration, I do and I do not believe I am racist. If I appear to be offended by the gay lifestyle, I am not homo fob, I believe that type of behavior is detrimental to the very fabric of our society. When I speak out against some of the type of people who are using some of our poorly taken care of properties, as a testing ground to see if the child predators has over come their sick urges, it is because I see the children in our cities in danger and that angers me to no end. So please forgive me if I have offended anyone with my ( YOU MAY BE A REDNECK ) approach to every issue, it has always served me well and I am not likely to change. 19.11.08 17:03 Anonymous Sorry but you have the wrong "Anonymous" I can't claim ownership of that one. 19.11.08 13:12 Nolan and Marla
