    What do you think Team Burns/Hatcher   (led by Team Miller/Smith) will gain by smearing their opponents?

    If Team Burns/Hatcher is so concerned about things in White Settlement and "Taking Our City Back" WHY ARE THEY BEING SUPPORTED/INFLUENCED BY OUTSIDE/FORT WORTH INTERESTS?

    the vote count through Monday 5/5 was 491, with today left in early voting. She said 108 of that was yesterday   (Monday). the total is near normal for elections that include the Mayoral position, plus having a contested school board race. So, the early vote total doesn’t give much hint of what the direction is. I know Wilson and Miller were on the street this weekend talking their misleading trash and falsehoods. I wonder; were they holding hands when walking the streets?

    Looks impressive, will it make him a better mayor? From the looks of the mailer, Hatcher is just a tag along in the election.Only his name is mentioned, nothing else.

    6. Consider Appointments to EDC Board.

    Councilman Dewayn Cash made a motion to recommend appointing the following:
    James Ouzts – Chairman
    Lee Brothers – Position 2
    Pat Wirsing - Position 3
    Gunnar Rasmussen –Position 4
    Steve Groomer – Position 5
    Darlene Underwood – Position 6
    Ann Smith – Position 7

    Councilman Gunnar Rasmussen seconded this motion and it failed with two votes in approval and three votes dissenting.   (Mayor Pro Tem Sue Miller, Councilman Don Smith and Councilman Garry Wilson) 2-3

    Councilman Don Smith then made a motion to appoint members as follows:

    James Ouzts – Chairman Place 1
    Jerry Rhodes – Position 2
    Pat Wirsing - Position 3
    Jo Ann Grammar – Position 4
    Jerry Burns - Position 5
    Dalton Davis – Position 6
    Steve Groomer – Position 7

    Mayor Pro Tem Sue Miller seconded this motion and it carried with three votes in approval and two votes dissenting.   (Councilman Gunnar Rasmussen and Councilman Dewayn Cash) 3-2

    6. Discuss and consider bids for Raymond Street Playground Project.

    Discussion was held among the members after Parks Manager Rich Tharp gave an explanation of the proposed project. Mr. Tharp answered questions from the Directors.

    Motion was made by Jerry Burns and seconded by Steve Groomer to approve the Raymond Street Playground Project in the amount of $182,200. The vote was as follows:
    AYE: Ouzts, Groomer and Burns
    NAY: Grammer, Wirsing, and Rhodes
